Did anyone get anything out of National Medical Transcription week, or is it, as I suspect, even more meaningless than that "economic stimulus refund check"?

1. Stimulus check -- no sign of it. 2. MT Week, Possibly a $10 gift certificate; plus humiliation when I entered a "find the mistakes in the transcription" contest and received a 4 out of 10 (of course there were at least 12 verifiable mistakes, so obviously my finding something they didn't count messed up my score).

IC and wouldn't expect anything.
Stimulus check thankfully received and used to stimulate my personal economy by paying off car and making Sam's Club hurt.

I'm an IC for MDI, and I got an aromatherapy lotion that came in a really pretty blue, jewel crusted container. Very nice, smells wonderful. At MedQuist, I would have gotten something completely useless with their name written all over it.

We have themes every year for MT week. This year it was physical fitness and we received a pedometer and a nice large canvas bag with the company logo on it (perfect for gym clothes).
Throughout the week we had a question of the day asking which staff member did a particular physical activity (mountain climbing, motorcycle riding, marathon running, etc.). The winner will be drawn tomorrow and will receive a prize.
Plus, a few of the doctors wished us Happy MT Week which I thought was nice!

I've actually been waiting all last week, curious to see if anyone even noticed the occasion. I think the lack of ballyhoo says a lot--not even a thread complaining about how little effort employers made. We still got the company logo item, but the week's special contests and prizes have dwindled down to nada. Kind of a sad validation for the low morale. My stimulus check arrived, at least, and went toward Plan B.

Stimulus check arrived and paying for the new kitchen counter before we put the house on the market. Having trouble containing the 6 of us in this 1400 sqft house. Time to move on.
No sign of MT week acknowlegement but they did offer a bonus for top producers for the 3 day weekend. Evidently my account is not the only one a little behind.

Stimulus check...CHECK! New bedroom for me
Amphion had lots of neat little contests where we win PTO hours, and we got gift certificates and extra production incentives. Last year my team lead sent us all little thank you notes with candies and pens and rubber bands and incorporated the names of the items into the note. It was really sweet.

I have been working for RI Unlimited for almost a year now. For MT Week, I received a lovely gift of candy. It is nice to be appreciated!

No stimulus check (not eligible, alas).
No MT Week recognition. The clinic used to remember us with what turned out to be free-sample products from someone in the office who sells the stuff, but that ended a couple of years ago. The temp receptionist was rude to me all week, though, so that was something different. She's gone now.
