And to think that Obama took some heat recently for calling a female reporter "sweetie". What nerve!!
I also had a favorable opinion of Huckabee and wondered if he would be considered as a possible running mate for McCain. I guess he can kiss that gig goodbye.
I swear that some/most/all politicians come equipped with a self-destruct button.

It was also interesting to note that the part of the "joke" where he mentioned shooting Obama fell flat with the NRA. They didn't think it was funny, either.

I am not so sure about the "prophetic" part of your post. It is what a lot of people expect (outside America) to happen to someone who is foolish enough to "rush in where angels fear to tread." Believe me, none of us will be surprised if and when Obama is assassinated. He threatens the establishment and is therefore dangerous.
Obviously, Obama's opponents cannot hang "darky from the tree." The next best thing is to arrange for a Lee Harvey Oswald-Jack Ruby incident.
Also, this is not the first time that the Reverend Huckabee is cracking jokes about people getting shot.
The Reverend Huckabee, who seems to have a bizarre sense of humor, also "joked" about Mitt Romney getting shot.

It's a very sad state of affairs when someone would say something like this. It's not even remotely funny. I never really liked Huckabee but didn't really dislike him, but that opinion has definitely changed now - Huckabee is definitely in my dislike column now.
