I haven't been out of the house yet because (a) I had company last night and my friend usually sleeps very late, and (b) we're having a heat wave and it's about 94 degrees right now. I prefer to stay indoors where it is cool.

Just as a followup -- on the way home from the theater last night I passed through the Castro, where a street party was going strong and traffic was blocked off. Mostly, it was younger people, enjoying the hot weather and delighted to have an excuse to get drunk.
