NP's are saying: TMs are pearly-gray bilaterally with good light reflexes and landmarks. Is light "reflexes" okay?

I think if you just Google tympanic membrane light reflex, or even TM light reflex, you can answer your own question.
(When Googling to confirm medical terms, use the simple form of the most pertinent context terms and look for links that reference textbooks, peer-reviewed journals, or reputable professional information sites.)

Fingers, since this is your very first post here I imagine you ae going to get some questioning if this is schoolwork or a testing question. I hope that you have read the pinned threads that are announced at the top of each page.
Your question also begs the thought that simple Google research should either confirm for you or lead you to the answer. Likewise, an otolaryngology word book would get you there. Research skills, of course, are very important to a good MT.
It is the policy of this board to teach MTs to fish rather than giving them the meal.

Pleae forgive me. I am really struggling here, although I have been transcribing for 14 years. I am hugely doubting everything I know (? menopause). I believe it should be light reflex.

Okay, come on, you may be struggling today, but you need to stop a second and think logically. (Since if you've been transcribing for 14 years, you surely know the grammar rules for agreement of singular/plural and the singular and plural forms of a simple word like reflex.)
If the NP says TM (singular), then she would discuss its light reflex (singular).
If the NP says TMs bilaterally (plural), then she would discuss their light reflexes (plural).

I understand, and, as you said, I have never posted. I started working for this office and I have always been a firm believer of "When in Rome do as the Romans do." But, that being said, there are some extremely contradictory (and very incorrect) uses of terms, etc., and when I have shown terms used per AAMT Guidelines, Stedman's, etc., it has not been accepted very well, and they have insisted that everything that I know is wrong. Therefore, I have just did as told and went on. And, it is driving me insane.

Well, I can understand the problem with practitioners who are firmly wedded to their own errors, but there's no issue like that here. You say she dictated TMs...bilaterally with good light reflexes....
There's absolutely no problem there. If you are arguing with her that she should have said reflex, you just lost your credibility, and convincing them anything else they say is an error has just become even harder for you.

No. Haven't said anything. Stopped that some time ago. It is usually not an account that I do (filling in for vacation), but I had been given a macro and from past experience wanted to be clear before going further. I work at home and they are all in the office. Just you pointing out the singulair and plurals made it perfectly clear.
Thanks again.
