Sadly, I think it will be time to say goodbye to Syesha tonight. The judges seemed to be setting her up for failure -- even Paula said she probably wouldn't make the finals -- and I don't think her fan base is strong enough to overcome that of Little David (who should go home, IMO). She does have some mannerisms that bother me, but I think she is much more talented and versatile (and marketable) than Archuleta. Overall, I thought all the song choices were disappointing, and nobody really jumped out in front.

I totally agree with you Margie! I never vote for anyone (usually because I get so wrapped up in Hell's Kitchen afterward I kinda forget), but last night I did vote for Syesha. It did seem that the judges were setting her up to fail when I thought she did one heck of a job with her performances. I like David C., but the song he chose himself I had never heard and I couldn't really even tell what he was singing. I did like David A.'s version of Longer. I think he's ok, just has some growing up to do. I think it should be David C. and Syesha as the last two standing, but sadly, I doubt that it will be those two. Wasn't the song Syesha did from Happy Feet more about dancing? Simon seemed to be so hung up on whether or not it was about penguins. Who knows how it'll turn out tonight! All I know is I can't wait for The Office season finale tomorrow!!!

Except for Fever, her own choice, I thought Syesha was better last night than I've seen her before, but I will not be at all surprised if she goes home tonight. I am surprised, though, that Pauler (as Simon might say), was the one to announce it.
When I close my eyes, I think David A. has a nice voice. Looking at him, I just can't get past the fact that he looks like a funny 12-year-old boy singing love songs. I really don't know what the fuss is about.
I think D.C. has been standing out for a while now. He's got the voice and the height. ;)

I would think that David Cook will now be very happy with a second-place finish (which I think is what will happen).

I agree that he'll be happy with that (if that's what happens). If you think about it, he'll be very successful whether or not he wins; David A., on the other hand, is up in the air on his chance of success (kind of like Clay Aiken). Opinions??

I don't think Cook is as interested/hopeful as one might expect. Does he even want to win?
I think it will be close, but the little guy most likely will take the win.
So much for Idol. Ho-hum.

Either way, both Davids were absolutely awesome this year (although some people find them boring). I love listening to Archuletta sing; I don't care how old he is...that boy can SING! Ditto for Cook.

 Paula and Randy are pretty funny here! Did that whole bit actually air? I didn't watch most of the tryouts...I'm sure no one needs to ask why.
