I'm stumped. I've gone through suture types and brands-- I'm thinking Panacryl or Panalok but it just doesn't seem right:
The electrodes were connected to the power generator, inserted into the subcutaneous pocket and secured to the chest wall with 2 s/l "Podavic" sutures.

Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

For future consideration, you might want to check out this manufacturer's site: http://www.teleflexmedical.com/prod_tevdek-polydek.php I suspect your doc might have said Polydek, but only because that word comes out sounding like "Podavic" when one of my CVs is in a hurry (when is he not?). He confirmed that was his suture of choice. I think the website may give you some idea why.
