He is an amazing guy, but the most amazing thing is that his original mission was to bring medical care to the poor of the third world--only now he is spending much of his time delivering it here to people in what we still like to claim is the richest country on earth, in "remote areas" like Knoxville, Tennessee. How sad a commentary on our healthcare system is that? Apparently today healthcare access for many US citizens is no better than that in the tribal Amazon basin.
