HI. I don't post here much but thought this would be the best place to get some advice.
I have four doctors right now and need a better system for keeping up with all the invoices, pay, taxes. If anyone would like to share how they keep themselves organized I would be very greatful.
Three out of the four all pay differently, different rates per line or so much per assessment.
I have all my files on my computer pretty organized but when i comes time to know numbers (how much i have made this month, how much I should be paying in taxes, blah blah blah) I have to sit and waist a lot of time refiguring all that.
Please Help!!
Thanks Kim

Kim, with your own business and, as described, four different practices, you really are going to need to inveset in some accounting software (or hire an accountant), keeping in mind that those costs are fully deductible as business expenses.
I assume you think of yourself as a professional, and that you operate a professional business, so there is no excuse for not having professional financial software or professional accounting services.

I agree that I will need some kind of software or professional. I was wondering what software program has worked for others as this will be my first time using one.
thanks

Kim, I'm not trying to be obtuse here, but there are many professional accounting software packages and you are likely to get as many different "I like this one best" recommendations as there are programs. You need to use your research skills to examine the programs available and determine if each will fit your particular business needs.
For example, I could tell you that Quicken Professional is the absolute best one to go with, but since you don't know me, and my business is different from yours, how could you really trust that recommendation as better than the next one that tells you that the Donald Duck Free Monez program will do everything you ever need it to do?

As Trops said, you may want to contact an accountant. Some might be willing to consult with you to help choose a program and set things up even if you do not want to use their services all the time.
