Happy birthday! I was going to post a lolcat for you but I ran into two problems:
1. I couldn't figure out how to resize it so it wouldn't lag the board.
2. I couldn't decide which one.

Obviously, #2 was the most problematic.

Thanks everyone, this was nice lift for the spirits, and don't worry if you just typed--I never have fancy graphics on hand for instant wishes either.

All birthday wishes are good--especially because tonks iz have a frustrating busy today. (I don't know why, but somehow my birthday always turns into an especially hectic day full of stats and copy requests unless it falls on a weekend.)

Happy Birthday Tonks!

You know how to solve being overworked on your very special birth day? Take the day off!

Next year, start the tradition of never working your birthday ever again.

No one appreciates you more than you. Thus, award yourself on your very special day :o)

A day off? Those words are not in a sole proprietor IC's vocabulary--maybe if you're an employee or a subcontractor, LOL.

Of course it is! You take vacation? If you don't, shame on you.

Should not become your own slave!

Life is too short and one day is not going to make a difference one way or the other.

Don't be a stick.

Well, who woulda thunk I'd ever live to hear someone call me Twiggy.

Hm. Maybe she has the inside scoop on my b-day present to you and simply meant "sticky."

Like the farmers up here all know...ya gotta cut hay while the sun's shining. When you've got your own business, the days off or vacations come when the work flow permits...otherwise you wind up with a lot of free time and no money.

Piglet, I don't know how it is you manage to make even the most innocuous of statements sound bitchy, especially in someone's BDay thread, but at least you're consistent.

Let me enlighten you since you clearly don't get it: Being your own slave is worth every second of not being someone else's slave. I pity you that you don't know what that's like; if you did, you wouldn't be so condescending and dismissive of being self-employed.

Vacations are for employees. If I wanted vacations more than money, I'd go be an employee but then I'd only be making $45,000 a year and I can't afford the cut in pay.

I wished Sheila HB somewhere else fer crying out loud. I'm also thanking the foresight it took not to include my birth date on any of the boards.
