It is for my MT training class....I am stumped.
Then you need to talk to your instructor. Most people who post here do not approve of doing people's homework for them. It's cheating. I will note that the errors in your sentences are simple, obvious ones. If they aren't obvious to you, perhaps you need to take some English review classes before trying MT.
I am very surprised that someone would go to this length to be so ignorant. I recently started transcription classes and was using these as a sample sentence. THEY WERE NOT EXACT SENTENCES FROM MY MT HOMEWORK. I thought by asking some experienced MT's I would get the hang of what I was supposed to be doing.
I will not post on here again. Word of mouth spreads like wild fire. I do not appreciate being treated like an idiot and embarrased in front of the entire MT posting board let alone the entire world. Rude people such as this one need to remember that they to started at the bottom. They need to remember where they came from.

I'm sorry you were offended by 14Tonks answer. However, you DID say "It is for my MT training class..." You did NOT say they were "sample sentences." I find 14Tonks response blunt, perhaps, but not insulting. Her advice to consult your instructor and perhaps take an English course were offered sincerely.
The people who take the time to respond to posts truly want to help but they are very busy. They don't have time to prepare flowery responses and stroke egos. Keep this in mind if a response comes off as rude or brusque and give the poster the benefit of the doubt. Don't over-read the responses either.
Since you're a newcomer and since this thread has gone the way it has, I have to ask if you've read the posts repeated at the top of many of the forums that you are requested to read BEFORE you make your first post? I don't think so.
You're welcome to come back and try again, but you may want to spend some time getting familiar with both how to post a question so that you get the response you're looking for and how to use the forums to your best advantage.

The person who has embarrassed you is yourself. You might have avoided that by noticing the big red sign at the top of the forums, reading those pinned threads, and following their directives. Fortunately, you can still read them now and then come back under a new name and try again, as Ellen suggested above, preferably after you've finished your schooling. That will avoid the whole problem of what is and isn't a school assignment. Note, though, that asking for the answers to employment tests will be regarded the same as asking for answers to school assignments.
