I have had a rather bad exp with them. They were my first job so I was not sure what I was getting into when I was hired in but they make you after 3 months of working there to buy your own Errors and Omissions Insurance (which can be costly) and I found myself working from 5 am until almost midnight 7 days a week to get the lines that I needed and the reason I was not able to get the lines they wanted was because they assign you reports when you begin and with some of the reports they were barely 20 lines a piece, so my highest check for 2 weeks was almost $100 and that was my last check. When I had questions there were people who could answer them as you log into a chat room like feature which is nice, but to ask a QA a question was unimaginable. After I quit there, my first week with the new company I had produced 3 times more lines, above and in 4 hours of work so that was my first clue that it wasn't me...LOL I hope this helps but I hope it doesn't scare you away either. It was just my bad experience.

They were my first "official" job working from home as well. At the time, I was just looking for as much experience as I could get, not worried about line counts too much. I can't say my experience was bad, it was just frustrating in that they do not pay for spaces making it impossible to get a good line count. It is a good place to get your feet wet if you are a newbie, however. I found the QA staff to be very helpful and positive and always got a fast response. Expect many different accounts, and they do expect you to adhere to the specs on each, slowing you down even further. \:\) Like I said, it's a good place for newbies to learn and gather experience.

About 3 years ago I worked for them just out of MT school. Let me tell you, I have never worked at a more disorganized company in my life. It was extremely hard to make your line counts and they cherry pick. Horrible, horrible place. At that time, they paid an hourly rate.

I know that there are two Accuscribe companies. There is one in South Carolina, but I am not sure where the other one is located. I used to work at the one in South Carolina. I had to quit because I could not meet the minimum line count, because there was never enough work available. They did not care whether there was no work available, because they still expected me to meet the minimum line count, which I felt was unfair, so that was the main reason why I quit working there.

Wisconsin is where the other one is located and it's wonderful. It's IC and you zip and e-mail the work at the end of shift or TAT. I loved working for her but I needed health insurance and found a wonderful employee position.
