Is there a way to format in Microsoft word to put two spaces after the period?? The doctors like two spaces after each period when starting a new sentence. I was wondering if there was a way I could do that without having to manually do it in my templates... thanks

I have the reverse problem in that I type two and my accounts only want one. I wrote a macro to remove the second space after a (.). I see a problem in that to write a macro, you would get two spaces between b. i. d. and M. D. If you use MD and BID, PRN, QID, etc. then this shouldn't be a problem.

Ed Weber has posted macros at http://www.productivitytalk.com to handle spaces after periods. There's a basic one in downloads, and you will find information on creating exceptions for certain abbreviations in the forum threads.
Another option is using the automated spacing after punctuation options in InstantText if that is your expander.
