When spelling out one of the numbers in a med to avoid confusion, i.e., Tylenol No. 3 one daily, should other meds within a list be treated the same way for continuity? Meaning, should I continue as:

Adderall 20 mg one daily
Detrol LA 10 mg one daily

OR, return to the correct style of:

Adderall 20 mg 1 daily
Detrol LA 10 mg 1 daily

Thanks for input!

Te BOS recommends using numerals even for numbers under 10 in medical reports to make them stand out (except in cases where "one" as a numeral would be confusing or awkward, such as "She has 2 sisters. One lives here; the other one [not "1"] lives in another city"). However, also for clarity, it does recommend spelling out one of the numbers in drug dosages or in situations where two numbers are close together. This is what I prefer also. In that case, your first example is how I'd do it: Detrol LA 10 mg one daily.

I could not determine from the BOS whether to continue with the same or return to what is correct. I have always continued with the same, but then started questioning myself. Thanks for your help, HoosierFemme.
