Transporting Digital Files

I have been fishing through the archives and past posts regarding digital dictation for a while, but I haven't found exactly what I am looking for. I have used digital dictation for years with medical offices, so I am used to dealing with the .dss files, players, pedals, and recorders. It's the transportation of these large voice files that I need help with. I have used a file-sharing software for several months to obtain digital files, and I really liked it--but it is just not working consistently now. It may be because of interference from the intense security on the end of the hospital-run offices. I realize FTP is probably the way to go--but does anyone have software that they REALLY like, very reliable, easy to use by everyone involved? I've checked out DocShuttle a little. Are there other suggestions that anyone has? I would be dealing with more than 250 MB per month, so Hypersend is too expensive. DropChute has too many issues with firewalls and routers. Help!

I'm not sure what you would consider too expensive, as I have only used one system, but I have been happy with Metroscript. It's very simple to use and the customer service is excellent (important to me because my clients are over 200 miles away and I can't be running over there to fix any issues they have - not that there have been many). They charge $.34 per MB. They have phone-in service and offer a branded website for (I think) about $11.95 per month, which I like.

I realize this topic was posted a few months ago, but I was wondering if you tried the Metroscript, and if so, how do you like it? Also, what type of foot pedal do you use?
I am about to set up one of my doctors to send/receive over the internet, and I'm just trying to find the best way to go about it. I have a Wav pedal and have used dss in the past, but these had already been set up by an MTSO. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated--Thanks!

What about http://www.flipdrive.com? Don't know if that would help you but I've used it for quite a while, not for digital files, but to switch files from my nieces, and also homework for my son, who is in college. Might be worth checking out. They do have a free allocation and, if I recall, it was not terribly expensive. I haven't used it for a few months, though. Hope this helps.

I use MetroScript too and I've been very happy with them. I use the wav pedal I had prior to using MetroScript and it worked just fine. You can use basically any hardware and software you already have. That's one of the main reasons I went with them. In any case, hope you find what you're looking for.
