Here is what MTAPPP stands for
Allied Schools MTAPPP
I don't know about the FDC unless maybe you mean it is a secretary who works "for" the FDC which is about the only thing I am finding in a quick Google search.

FDC might mean something like front desk clerk or coordinator.
I think MTAPPP is one of those courses that marginally prepares someone to work in a medical office versus real MT training. Yes, there are still medical secretaries here and now. Usually the job title means someone who can type a little and is willing to do anything else the practice needs done. At least it sounds like SherryLynn is being realistic about what kind of job she might get with her training.

Thanx for the info.
MTAPPP stands for Medical Terminology, Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, and Pharmocolgy.
It is a very comprehensive, thorough course including combining forms of latin prefixes and suffixes of the entire human body. Including of course regular English terms also. And basic word structure. Terms pertaining to the body as a whole. Digestiv system, urinary, male & female reproductive system, nervous system, cardiovascular system, resporatory, blood system, lyphatic & immune systems, musculoskeletal, skin, sense organs: eye & ear, endocrine system, cancer medicine & study of oncology, radiology and nuclear medicine, pathology, pharmacology, psychiatry. I am not promoting the school, although they are great and sent many helpful items, Mosby dictionary, etc. I just want those who think medical knowledge & preparation is not for the ones thinking transcriptioning or even medical office work is easy & nothing to it. You really need to know your stuff, especially if yu're thinking of advancing in the field. I'm proud to say I passed my final and feel great about myself for such an acheivement. Especially being nearly 47 yrs. old. I have great respect for those in the field of medicine. My hats off to them! Sherry

It still sounds and appears from your entries here that you will need additional skills training for medical transcription or data entry. What you are listing is usually taught as part of goal-oriented programs. I am confused if that is a course on its own. Is this a pre-requisite course for something? I am glad you did well, though. That is good base knowledge to have in medical and support roles.
