Looking for a site to search for meds by dosage...

Hi everyone!
I originally posted this on the Word Board forum but I realize that this is probably a more appropriate place for it.
I have a few different websites that I use when researching medications but I've often wished that I had a way to search for the medication by its dosage. Do you know of any websites that will allow you to put in, for example, 0.25 mg and give a list of all medications manufactured in that dosage?
Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

Hi FSV!
I'm not sure about a website for this, but do you have Quick Look Electronic Drug Reference? It allows you to search for something like 0.25 in the body of the drug description. If you get too many results, you can then search those results for something else, like hypertension, to narrow it down further. It also allows partial drug name searches (great when you can only hear part of the name). I'm sure there are other good ones, too, but this is the one I'm familiar with.

This gem of a site has replaced rxlist for me, since rxlist in its present incarnation is absolute rubbish (I'm still cranky about it). The only thing I can't figure out is how to do a wildcard or partial search, if it's even possible on that site. It also has a free download for the PC, but I don't know if it's a trial or anything, other than what it has on the website, but from it's description, it looks handy.
I don't trust "free" downloads as a general rule; they usually come with "gifts with nonpurchase."

Thanks monkee, for offering that medication site. I tried it and liked it. It is even a faster site than my previous preference.

This site is a favorite of mine too, for a few years. I don't use other sites anymore. I like being able to find meds by problem as well.
I definitely recommend it !!

The only thing I can't figure out is how to do a wildcard or partial search, if it's even possible on that site. It also has a free download for the PC, but I don't know if it's a trial or anything, other than what it has on the website, but from it's description, it looks handy.
The free download appears to be the complete database; it asks for, but does not require, a registration when you activate. It will update online if you allow it to, but does not need to talk to any site online in order to run and does not appear to come with any unadvertised "extras" included in the package.
The downloaded version, like the online version, does not allow a full wildcard search, but will filter the list by the beginning letters of a drug name and refilter as you try substituting different vowels/consonants. Unlike the online version, it keeps the full filtered list on easy-to-read display for you. Both the online and downloaded versions allow a search on the full database by dosage, although you will need to enter both 25mg and 25 mg in the search box to find all meds that come in that strength as the reference has not edited the data to a consistent internal format. Also, both online and downloaded version searches return the results for a dosage search in random alphabetical order, so you will need to scan the whole list of results for a name close to what you think you are hearing. However, you can also search the database for keywords, not just dosages. If you are looking for a drug for breast cancer treatment, you can enter "breast" in the search box rather than a drug name or dosage, and you will get all the entries with the word "breast" used in the indications. If you are looking for a breast cancer drug that comes in 25 mg, you can enter 25mg AND breast or 25 mg AND breast in the search box. The results returned in the downloaded version include a Clustered Results option, under which you will find Neoplasm as a choice. Click that, and there are all the drugs for cancer with 25 mg or breast in the information, with different colored highlights for dose and word, which makes it pretty fast to skim for the drugs with both 25 mg under dosage and breast in description. All searches are lightning fast, so in many ways this reference makes a good replacement for QLDB, offering a more complete database of drugs.
