Is anyone out there studying for CMT?

I am studying for the exam. I'm surprised this forum has no recent postings. I'd like to hear from others who are studying for, or recently took, the CMT, and are you being rewarded at your workplace for it. Our hospital transcription department is starting a QA program, and currently no transcriptionists are CMTs. I plan to be the first. Anyway, would like to hear from others. Thanks!

I am studying. I took the CMT prep and the Book of Style Course. Not many seem to talk about the CMT on here. I would like to hear from people also.

I took the CMT on March 26th and passed it. What would you like to know? BTW, my employer did have a nice incentive program for earning the CMT.

Congrats on getting your CMT. I am also studying for the CMT, but I seem to be running from book to book w/o getting much accomplished. Any suggestions on what to tackle first or any suggestion on how to organize studying. Unfortunately, I get terrible test anxiety so this is not helping at all.

I suggest working, working, and working. That was the best tip I had for taking the test. If you are so inclined, the CMT Review Guide sort of simulates the test experience, but the transcriptions on the CD are more difficult, in my opinion. Otherwise, brush up on the BOS and eat a breakfast of champions. There is so much material out there that it would take years to cover each and every speciality and possible question.

Thanks for your response and your suggestions. Yes, I figured out the hard way about the study material. I have bought way too much material to study and now I just run from one book to another. I do have the CMT review and some of the dictations on there are just horrible. I was thinking if the CMT dictations are like these I will never pass it

Did you find the test easy, not so easy? Any recommendations for studying?
Thanks in advance!
