Hello,

I am a sub working for a great, small company. We currently use a dial-in system and transcribe through C-Phones (or similar phones). However, in almost exactly three weeks I will be moving to a remote area. I will not have a landline, so the old dial-up system will not work for me.

I’ll need to access those files through satellite internet…FTP site/WAV pedal type of system. We need the transition to be completely smooth for the doc(s), with no more disruption than changing a phone number to call into. Therefore, offering a digital dictation system to this account would not be an option.

The operator of the current system we rent space through has not been able to/willing to transfer the VOX files to another site where I can access them.

I am wondering if anyone knows of an existing company (small or large) that would be able to rent space on their call-in system with the benefit up offering a way for me to access the files online, instead of calling in myself. I have found a couple of companies online but my e-mails haven’t been answered, and I am running short on time.

It would also be possible that the gal I sub through would switch her entire operation over to the new company/system.

If anyone knows of any resources or has any ideas I would be entirely grateful! Thanks in advance,

Lyssa

Bytescribe just started offering call-in dictation. They have been a fantastic company to work with (I have their computer and software, but I've not used their ASP service).

You can check them out at www.bytescribe.com. Scott from Bytescribe does periodically check in here, and I believe you can contact them through e-mail on their website.

Straws ~

Thank you very much for the info! I will definitely check Bytescribe out this morning and see if we can make that work. Also nice to hear good things about their company!

Lyssa,

Totally off the subject, but do you work for a company in Colorado and if yes, where?

I am looking for another job and would like to work for a local company versus a national.

thanks

Oh I'm sorry "westmt" I saw your post and completely got sidetracked with my own crazy life at the moment, and never responded to you.

As for the company I work for now, it is in the 303 area code. Not sure if she's hiring though. She told me once she gets a lot of applicants weekly. Email me though, and we can talk further. Again, SO VERY sorry for the horrible delay in response!!!

L.
