Hello All,
I graduated from VLC in May 2003. I zoomed through the course in about 5 months, as I was unemployed and was very motivated to get into this field of work. It took me until the end of July 2003 to get an IC job. I sent out many applications packages online and did many tests. It was the old "newbie" problem, and being a Canadian certainly limited my opportunities to work at home. I have to say that once a company took the chance on me, neither of us has regretted it. I love what I am doing. I started out as an IC, then switched to employee status, and now back to IC again. I changed back to IC simply because I preferred having the flexibility to benefits..(Some might think that is crazy, but it is my preference.)
I believe that the VLC program prepared me very well for my job and I would be proud to recommend the program to others. Having said that, however, I truly belive that no program is worth anything if you are not willing to put in your best effort. There are many job sources out there, it just takes some perseverance and patience. Once you get your foot in the door....you know.
