What resource materials do you recommend? Is there a place to go and get these at a discount for buying in bulk?

I noticed you posted your questions in the M-TEC section of the board. There is a “Recommended Resources” section further up where you will probably receive more responses to your questions.
I don’t know if you are in school and/or have received books through your school, but most suggest starting with a medical dictionary and the BOS. I would also suggest an abbreviation book, drug book, and books for your specialty areas (orthopedics, GI/GU, ENT, etc.). I use the Stedman’s Ophthalmology Words book and find that very useful, but I just do the occasional eye surgery report.
I have been able to find many of my books on E-Bay and through Amazon.com. I would just suggest checking to make sure the edition for sale is not too outdated. Many people suggest using web sites as opposed to actual books, but this might come down to personal preference and whether or not you are able to use the internet at work or on the company computer (if you have one).
Again, I would suggest posting your questions on the “Recommended Resources” forum to hear more opinions and receive more information.
