I can't really understand what she is saying but pt. has not had a menstrual cycle in two months and the dx is possible middlesmirtz - pt says she gets this pain about one week before her cycle. I just can't catch this. I've looked under Mi, me in the dictionary to find something close to how this sounds. This dictator talks really fast and chews up words quite often. Pls. help. Thank you. I also checked on the desk under OB/GYN terms and didn't see anything.

The word you're looking for IS in the OB/GYN list and also in the Stumper Terms list. Please take another look

Thanks to both of you for responding. After reading the responses, I looked in my dictionary again and turned right to it. I don't know why that didn't happen before I posted.I thought of checking stumper terms, but for whatever reason, didn't think I would find it. I won't overlook stumper terms again. I guess I cut my search short by only thinking it was mid or med. Again, thank you

I just wanted to add my recommendation of the stumper terms list. I have found SOOOO many of my "blanks" there since I started working. It's a great resource. I also use google a lot to point me in the right direction - put in the part of the word you think you know and it usually brings up something helpful.
Hope that helps!

I too have referred to the stumper list; it is great! I have it printed out and keep it close by while I'm working. I had to use it for absence seizure (s/l ab-sonce)just the other day. A friend of mine uses a site called medword (www.medword.com) and I looked at it briefly today. She said it really helps her, so if you have not heard of it, I'd recommend adding it to your favorites. I don't think we can ever have too many resources!
