What is the correct way to transcribe:

"Blood pressures are running in the range of 160s to 190s over 90s to 120s."

Thank you.

Hi Antoinette

I type it 160-190/90-120.

Just seems logical to me - though I cannot find documentation that this is "the" way to do it.

Annie,
Thank you much. I did txcribe it that way, except I put the "s" in. Guess I won't do that anymore!
Thanx again

Actually, Antoinette -- you're right. 160-190 is not correct, as he does say 190s. That's what I get for zonking out in the afternoon and posting when I'm still half out of it.

Antoinette, you're so smart! That's the way I type it also: 160s-190/60s-90s (for a pleural range).

Just my two cents...

I had seen a video by AAMT in which Claudia Tessier addressed this very issue. Her take on this was that it can be typed as "Blood pressure 100 to 120 over 70 to 80" or "Blood pressure 100-120 over 70-80."

BUT NEVER 100-120/70-80 or 100/70 to 120/80

It's a clarity issue...
